Deep Pile Faux Fur Throw

There is a moment every autumn when a room stops feeling warm enough on its own, and the answer is rarely the thermostat. This deep pile faux fur throw from Velora is the layer that fixes it: a dense, luxurious pile with real weight, draped over the end of a bed or across the arm of a sofa. It styles a room and insulates it at the same time.

The pile is long and silky on the face, backed with a smooth, warm underside, so the throw holds heat rather than simply sitting on top of you. Sizes run from a lap throw at 80x120cm up to a generous 160x200cm throw, in light grey, light pink and light brown. Pale shades lift a light scheme, while light brown adds warmth to darker rooms. The edges are cleanly finished and low shedding.

Faux fur often falls down on practicality, so it matters that this one launders properly. Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and dry flat rather than tumbling, which keeps the pile standing tall instead of matting. Shake it out between uses to keep it looking full. The synthetic fabric is not flame retardant, so keep it well clear of heaters, open fires and candles, and never use it as bedding for infants.
