NordicDrop Faux Leather Placemats

NordicDrop placemats take the standard rectangle and throw it out. The shape is a soft water droplet, which breaks up the hard geometry of a laid table and looks noticeably more designed than a plain square of cork. The surface is faux leather with a fine cowhide texture, warm to the touch and quietly luxurious under stoneware, porcelain and glass.

Both sides are usable, each in a different colour, so one set gives you two table looks depending on the mood, the season or the occasion. The material is heat resistant enough for hot plates and serving dishes, and the backing grips the table rather than sliding around every time someone reaches for the salt. Spills wipe away with a damp cloth instead of soaking in, which makes them ideal for busy family meals.

Eight colourways are available, from starry sky and grey or light grey and blue to dark brown and black, dark or light coffee, dark blue and yellow, green and ivory, and walnut wood. Choose a set of four or six to match your table. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, store flat, and keep them away from direct flames and very hot pans straight from the hob.
